Its widely debated as to the orgins of tarot cards. Some claim that early documentations trace the roots back to China, whilst others say that Italy or Eygpt are more likely to be the birth place of the cards.

They were originally used as playing cards and there is no definitive records as to when they were adapted for divination purposes. Clerics, priests and spiritual leaders of differing faiths claimed that the cards were linked to each of their own religions, be it Christianity, Buddhism, Kabbla and many others.

All this uncertainty as to the beginning of the tarot cards certainly enflames the mystery and enigma which surrounds them.

Today the cards are used by people all over theworld to tell fortunes and the future.
